The Somerville Road Runners cordially invite you to join us on Friday July 24, 2009 for the 13th Annual 24 Hour Around the Lake Races. We are again hosting a 24 hour & 12 hour ultra marathon, a 26.2 mile certified marathon (MA04018RN), as well as a 24 hour team relay. The course is a 3.16 mile loop around Lake Quannapowitt in Wakefield, MA. All races will start at 7:00pm at the Lord Wakefield Hotel. This year all races will be chip timed for the first time.
We especially want to encourage local running clubs to participate in the team relay event. Each team consists of 6-8 runners.  Each runner on a team must run at least one lap and exchanges must be made at the start/finish line. Otherwise teams are free to schedule their runners as they choose.
Proceeds from the event are donated to Children’s Hospital Boston in memory of Coach Steve Burton and to the Wakefield Educational Foundation.
Attached is the race flyer. We would be grateful if you would spread the word about this event among your members and round up teams to participate in this friendly challenge.

Visit the website for more info and registration: www.srr.org (Annual Events). Specific questions can be directed to Noel Clarke at 24hour@srr.org

We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you this summer at the 24 Hour Around the Lake Race.
